Hello and let me say, thank you for any and everyone that is able to help me with my problem.

Yesterday I ran into a problem with my laptop and seemingly it's toast. Seeing as how I couldn't fix the laptop, i thought i would try to recover some files from my hard drive. I have a external sata enclosure and I've hooked it up to a friends pc, but for what ever reason I can't access the files.

It shows that it has space taken on the hard drive, but it tells me that the folder has no files. The only thing I can think of as to why it would do this, is because I had my account password protected.

I'm not sure if that's it, but after spending a few hours trying to recover the files, i hit a brick wall and thought i would ask those that know a bit more about this sort of thing. If anyone can help me, it would be greatly appreciated! Thank you and god bless.

If you have enabled drive encryption on that drive before your laptop went down then I think chances of recovering your data would be near to impossible. Your possible option would be to consult or send your drive to a professional data recovery service. Good Luck!
