ok. i bought a asrock extreme3, and i am trying to buy memory for it.

i was looking at the asrock website and i noted that there aren't many compatible ram sticks(2x4gb).
F3-12800CL9D-8GBSR2 this is the only one i found. all the other ones are either quad or triple. quad(listed)F3-12800CL9Q-16GBSR , triple(not listed)F3-12800CL9T-12GBSR, dual(not listed) F3-12800CL9D-8GBSR. the only difference i see is the number of memory sticks.

do you guys think that the dual xxxxx-8gbsr will work? the difference in price is 10 dollars. and 1 timing.

It'll work fine. Those supported RAM lists are always incomplete, because the motherboard manufacturer can't test thousands of kits with every model. All those lists are good for is knowing what's guaranteed to work. Pretty much anything will work though.

does the voltage have to be 1.5 or 1.25 or can i put 1.65? i know that the lower v the higher the quality of the memory stick, but if i put a 1.65. will the mobo adjust the voltage or do i have to do it manualy?

i was planning to buy a par of g skill ares serie.

Generally you can just activate the RAM's XMP profile through the BIOS and it'll set everything for you, voltage included.

Install the sticks go into BIOS enable XMP and the system will set the sticks up to 1600 for you
