I have been looking for a while and decided to build my own gaming rig. I have a current build idea but I would love the opinion of others.

Only things I would not change is the case.

You've basically built an editing/rendering rig there. For gaming the i5-4690K performs better and you won't need more than 8GB of RAM.

I'd recommend this:

CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor ($234.66 @ OutletPC)
CPU Cooler: NZXT Kraken X41 106.1 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($108.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: Asus Z97-A ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($138.99 @ Amazon)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($79.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($85.99 @ Amazon)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($56.98 @ OutletPC)
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 760 4GB Superclocked ACX Video Card ($289.99 @ Newegg)
Case: NZXT Phantom 530 (Black) ATX Full Tower Case ($107.99 @ NCIX US)
Power Supply: SeaSonic S12II 620W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($68.98 @ Newegg)

Also, if you're gaming at single screen 1080p 4GB VRAM is overkill.

EDIT: Here's the same build but without the 4GB VRAM, that saves enough money to go for a 770:

Keep in mind though that the 900-series is mere days away (19th), so you might want to wait for that.

I would recommend this. I sacrificed the water cooling for a better gpu.

Heres what i would go for i know you said would not change the case but i believe case is not worth the extra $60 better to have the 850 watt evga PSU and that leaves you room later on to get another video card for SLI.
