Here is my almost complete build. I have a couple questions though.
First time builder, never over clocked before.
Should I choose the 2400 memory since they are cheaper now? PCPartPicker gave a warning with its voltage. I also have no clue what I'm doing overclocking-wise yet.
As for the drive, I don't intend to keep a lot of stuff on there, its just for mild use so I don't really need more than 1TB at the moment. (I already have the SSD). And I heard Seagate drives (esp. that one) are pretty risky. The WD 1TB is on sale now. I could also go with the WD green drive, but I'm not sure if you all suggest that!
Yes, I'm going to wait for GTX800 (or 900 whatever). That's a place holder.
Any additional thoughts? Thanks in advance all!

The corsair H50 is noisier and worse at cooling than many air coolers costing less
I suggest you search for some reviews .
Make sure the RAM runs at 1.5 volts or less or the rated speed is just an over volt and overclock you could do anyway

The green hard drive saves very little power and is slow

Thank you for your reply!
Really? The H50 has near perfect review score on Newegg and pcpartpicker. Eh, don't care much about noise, but I can always change out the fan right? If it really is bad at cooling, can you suggest something else?
*Scratches head* Okay so manually specify the RAM to use a lower voltage? I didn't understand anything else you said. >.<
So you suggest the 1TB WD?

What he's saying is make sure the ram sticks run at the advertised speed at 1.5 Volts or less, as some lower quality ram sets only runs at advertised speeds once the voltage is cranked up to 1.65+.

I do not believe the cooling results justify the price , especially when you factor in that the H50 is a lot noisier .
I would rather spend the same or less on a large Noctua air cooler .

Either of the other hard drives is fine . Just depends how much storage space you want . But the green would be slower for no good reason so I recommend you dont use it .

Your processor is supposed to run with RAM rated at 1.5 volts . The higher frequency RAM is rated at 1.65 volts [ and has a higher CAS latency .... bad ] . If you used it your void the warranty on your processor .
Better to stick to RAM rated at 1.5 volts

Here:
1) The Corsair RAM is chosen for the speed at the cheapest price. It's also pretty good quality in reviews.
2) The HDD I selected is a WD Caviar Blue, which is a "just enough" solution.
3) The case is cheaper, but is legend to us build makers because of the design, quality, and professionalism.
4) The motherboard is changed to make it cheaper without sacrificing features.
5) The money saved is used to fit the R9 290X in there, so there's more performance.
6) I also changed the fan back to a H100i. It is a lot more efficient in cooling, since it has 2 fans. And this specific model has great reviews from pros.

Hey man, long time no see. Glad to see you're ready with the building :)

Now, I switched, and fixed up some things,

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/wVN9nQ

Now, I put in a R9 290. It's cheaper, and only a bit slower then the X, but it's a great card still.
http://gpuboss.com/gpus/Radeon-R9-290X-vs-Radeon-R9-290

Sapphire has 2 choices, the one I picked, or the VaporX cooler, which I have heard good things about it. Quiet, and cooler, but it's 40$ more

I picked up a better motherboard for you, I have no idea what that brand is, but I recommend going with well known brands, like MSI, ASUS, or Gigabyte. I trust Gigabyte more.

The CPU cooler is totally up to you, but a cheaper option I can recommend, is a Cooler Master Hyper 212 evo. I had the 212 in my system, It's one of the best CPU coolers, EVER, for the money. I now have the H100i, and I like it :) You might want to change the fans, I switched mine for 2 Fractal Design Silent series R2 120mm fans. The stock fans are pretty loud, but perform good. In case, I added it in for you.

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/DQ4wD3

The case you picked is great, I have the non windowed version, and it's quiet, and was a pleasure to work with. A 200mm fan will not fit in the R4, but if you do want to pick up some extra fans, the Fractal Design Silent series R2 140mm in the front of the case will be enough.
