Hello guys,

I've had this machine for about a year and have yet to overclock. Wanting more performance and FPS on certain games i'd like to try it out.

My system specs are as followed -

i7 4770 on a Corsair H100i. (SO COLD NEEDS AN OVERCLOCKED BLANKET!!)
2 GTX 780's 3GB Version Super-clocked

Not really sure if the rest is necessary but here you go.

Mobo - Asus Z87 Sabertooth (Updated stock bios.)
KingWin 1000W PSU.
16GB DDR3 Ram.

I'd like to overclock the GPU's AND CPU.
All temps are way below 50C when stressed with a few games. (I know that isn't really stress testing.)

Questions: The Z87 has a lot of options that I can configure to my liking in the bios. However, does anyone an optimized setting selection that I may use myself?

Note: Will I loose my OC if I change the operating system on my SSD? It's all in the bios, correct? It shouldn't affect the OC profile. I wonder if I answered myself.

Thanks all!

An i7 4770 does not need a H100i. That i7 can't be overclocked anyway. The stock cooler would be fine.

The EVGA 780's are already overclocked. Are they the reference cooler or ACX variety?

What series KingWin PSU? eg Lazer, Mach1 or what?

Sorry, it's an i7 4770K ** They're the super-clocked with the ACX Coolers. variations.

I thought he had the K and just didn't put it in. OP, do you have a 4770K or just the 4770?

So what are you trying to overclock - CPU and/or GPUs?

EDIT: Nevermind you should be able to OC the CPU to around 4.5 pretty easily but each chip will OC differently.

As for the GPU you could squeeze a tiny bit more performance out of it with overclocking but probably not much as Nvidia locks the voltage on nearly all GPUs (except special models). I too use MSI afterburner for my GPU overcloks
