How to change hardware acceleration settings in Windows 7

My laptop model Toshiba satellite a215 s4697
OS Windows 7
display adapter ATI radeon X1200
RAM 2 GB
i am unable to change hardware acceleration settings
In control panel -> display -> display settings -> Advanced settings -> Trouble shoot. the 'Change settings' option is greyed out.

My display drivers are up to date
tried changing true colour 32 bit to high colour 16 bit. but still i am unable to change hardware acceleration
please help me in changing hardware acceleration settings

Do you have a 3D acceleration button? or Catalyst manager? if yes you can change your 3D acceleration settings by right click and go to Catalyst manager.

thanks for reply, i have catalyst control manager and it has 3d options too, but there is no 3d acceleration option

Oh, we have different Catalyst version. Kindly check in the internet if there is available update for your Catalyst manager. Have you already explored the Catalyst manager? I think you can set games in the profile in the menu bars. It`s hard to guide you because we are not using the same version but I`m pretty sure there is an option which enables you to set the GPU usage in a certain application (i.e. games)
