I have a Windows 7 system that I have been trying to troubleshoot and found Malware with Malwarebytes and also a Virus that was found using Panda AV 2013 - Both Quarantined / Deleted the infected files. Initial cause was that the Laptop (Toshiba) was unable to connect to the Internet wirelessly or wired but did show it had a good connection. After removing the infected files, disabling, and re-enabling the NIC / Wireless Adapter the system would still not connect through Google Chrome, IE, Skype, TeamViewer, etc... I had the client run a few IP commands and found that when a PING was sent to www.google.com a response was sent and received (Packets sent / received) and showed the "Round Trip" to be accessing. The problem is that the computer still will not connect to any services in Windows 7 on any browser, or Internet related application. I am wondering if there is any advise anyone has that may help me at minimum get the clients computer online and then also perform any necessary suggestions as well remotely to get the computer back to "normal". Two other computers and a wireless printer are on the same network / router and all are working as they should be. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have been trying to talk the client through this over the phone but if I have to "dig" into the registry or any other "advanced" methods I will have to make a 2-1/2 hour commute to them in order to physically perform any maintenance, updates, and fixes to hopefully get the system back online and any additional threats or software removed. Thanks for any help you can provide.
