So I'm making a PC but need WiFi, to figure out that there are speeds/ranges and tried to figure out what the speed's are and went to Wikipedia. But that just confused the world of mine. so If you could list the max Mbps speeds and the range as simply as possible thanks.

Just get the new 802.11AC. That is the latest, highest speed, good range and compatible with most existing and common standards in use.
