Can i use my old windows 7 disk?

So i have a old hard drive and i upgrading it (i want to put windows on a ssd which im getting with the new hard drive) would i be able to use my old copy?

At worst it's an OEM key and because you are only changing the drive and not the motherboard you are good to use it again. At beast it's a retail key which allows you reinstall as many times as you want, as long as you only have it running on ONE computer. You are only changing the drive so you should be fine any way you look at it.

I have the serial key but its single so i wouldnt be able to?

Windows will most likely activate. If it does not, there will be instructions to call and enter some numbers which will probably activate windows for you. At worst it won't activate and you can contact microsoft and tell them what's up and they will normally get your windows activated for you. I think their main concern is that windows is not on more than one comp.
