Right now I am using an ASUS G46VW gaming laptop. All of the review online say that it should be able to run most games on high and sometimes ultra. Also, the Nvidia driver says it should be able to run most games optimally on ultra settings. But, right now the best I can do is medium on some games and games like Arma 3 low setting. The specs are:
-i5 Processor
-Nvidia 660M 2GB Dedicated Ram
-8GB Ram

Please help if you can, thank you :)

Skyrim is WAY easier to run than BF3.

The gtx660m is only about as powerful as a desktop gtx650, which will barely run modern games at medium settings.

At your resolution, the settings you are getting sound about normal.

If it makes you feel any better, I have an overclocked i5, 16gb RAM, and two gtx660ti's in SLI and I cannot run Arma 3 past high. It is a terribly coded game.

Also, laptop i5's are dual core, not quad core CPUs.

Well other games like battlefield three it will only play on medium as well, but on reviews that I've seen on this exact same laptop people would run it and other games like skyrim on ultra fine. Also I thought it could with 8GB of ram and the Nvidia 660 which is a decent video card. And I'm on 1366x768 which is the recommended resolution.
