Is my motherboard dead?

I was trying to install Windows 7 on my new PC I built and it wasn't recognizing my HDD so I unplugged it and plugged it back in. Now suddenly nothing is working. My case fans are fine, but my CPU fan, exhaust fan, and GPU aren't working. My monitor has no HDMI signal because the GPU isn't running. On top of that, when I press the power button, the computer won't turn off, I have to turn it off with the PSU switch. The motherboard is receiving power because the green light is on. It was all working perfectly 20 minutes ago. Maybe I shocked the motherboard when I plugged in the SATA cable?

What are the parts?

My theory if it really is dead, that you were using a cheap psu and adding just that little power did infact shock the system, Unlikely but possible. A bad psu can cause problems, try borrowing another supported psu and test it.

What are your parts?

Motherboard: Asus M5A78L-M/USB3
PSU: Corsair CS 750M 80+ Gold
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 760
CPU: AMD FX8350
RAM: Corsair Vengence 2 x 4G
HDD: Seagate 500GB Hybrid

I don't think it's the power supply but I have another one I can plug in to check.

I unplugged the 24 pin PSU connector and plugged it back in, and everything's working again. Strange cause I haven't touched it. Well, thanks for offering to help!
