Heeeelp.
So here is my problem:
I have a PC with: AMD Athlon X2 270 and 4GB of RAM (2 sticks, each 2gb)
Basically, I didn't use this PC for 6 months, but it used to work perfectly with no problems at all, but now, I wanted to use it again, and it won't boot.
So after a few tests, I conclude this:
1. If a remove one ram stick, and use only one with 2gb, the PC boots, but only if I put one of the RAM sticks in one RAM slot, I mean, only one RAM slot seems to work.
3. If I change the processor to an FX 6300 (that I use in another PC), the PC boots with the same 2 ram sticks, I mean, with 4 gb of RAM.
So my questions are: I read in some forums, that normally, this kind of problems are solved by changing the Motherboard, since it seems to be a RAM slot problem, but since both RAM slots works with another processor, then I have no idea what to do. Should I change the processor or the Motherboard?
Sorry for my English grammar and mistakes...
My Motherboard is: Gigabyte 78LMT-S2PT
Processor: AMD Athlon X2 270
