Hi everyone! This is my a millionth post about my new PC lol. Anways, I am going to use this computer to render videos, and also be gaming at max settings. Here's my setup so far.
CPU: i7 4790k@4.00GHZ
GPU: 2X GTX 780 TI MSI Twin Frozr
PSU 1300w Supernova G2
RAM: 1600MHZ 16 GB Corsair Vengeance.
HDD: 2 TB
Monitor: Going to purchase a 120 HZ
OS: ?
I REALLY love the look of Windows 7. I really dislike Windows 8.1. I wanted to know if there would be a HUGE decrease in performance going from Windows 8.1 to 7. I will be getting 7 professional. Please answer respectfully and please don't comment on my system being "overkill" thanks!

I went with Windows 7 Professional because it met my needs and I absolutely despise Windows 8. There are compatibility issues with a lot of programs with Windows 8...and you need to look at what specific programs you are planning on using and which OS they work best for...along with which OS you personally prefer.

I will be using Steam, Origin, Sony Vegas Pro 12. I need to know if it will decrease FPS in games.

For gaming, there is not real difference in fps. Programs you mentioned will work in either.

Get which version offers the features you need. I just got Pro because that is all I needed...and I considered Ultimate just because I wanted it, but the price did not justify it. So depends on the features you need. More than likely you are more than fine with just Pro.

Noone knows for sure. There have been claims for and against it being on 7. Honestly it probably won't matter much anyway because Window 8 will be pretty short lived as it is because Windows 9 will probably be out in 20016 and be more like Windows 7...Microsoft has been pretty ridiculous so who knows.
