Evga Z87 problems, please help

Solution
Checksum error is related to storage - ram or drives.

Test your ram with memtest86

Do a Checkdisk with repair on your Barracuda. (Windows Explorer, Highlight Drive. R Click to Properties, Tools, Check Now with repair)

Error Code 55 is to do with your Network Connections.

Error code 10 means one of your devices is faulty. Check Device Manager and see if a driver update will repair it. It could be your network card (ethernet or wifi).

Hey everyone, have just finished putting together my new custom build and am having a few problems I was hoping you could help with.

Evga z87 FTW motherboard
Intel i5-4460 cpu
Antec 520 high current gamer psu
Evga GTX760 GPU
1TB Seagate Barracuda HDD
LG M-Disc Drive
Corsair Vengence LP 2x8 GB RAM
Cooler master 212 Hyper CPU fan
The system will only boot when laying down, after researching this and reading about bent pins have checked and reseated the cpu.
The system doesn't always boot and displays FF and just stays on with all fans maxed out. (Have googled and read that FF is a standard code and runs when the system is on? However have also read in the manual that FF was reserved for a future error code. If the system does boot and a restart is selected it goes straight to FF)
The Ram only runs in slots 3 and 4 when the manual says to use 2 and 4. If I do use the recommended I get code 55.
I originally installed windows and the motherboard drivers however now the disc drive now can not start and gives a code 10 error in device manager.
When it does boot it says checksum error. Have reset the cmos but still happens.
Any help would be appreciated as Ive pulled it all apart and put it back to the same results.
