cpu fan not spinning

Ok so just built a new pc. It has a Athlon x4 760k and mobo is gigabyte f2a88xm-ds2. When it is all together and powered on the gpu fan starts but the cpu fan doesn't. I have tested the cpu fan on the sys fan header and it spins but at no time can I get the pc to turn on. All the power cables are connected fine. I tried the sys fan in the cpu fan header as well and it would not spin either. Is it a faulty cpu header?

Try downloading SpeedFan and manually adjusting the speed, maybe its somehow configured to spin after a particular temp is reached or even not spin at all. Check BIOS settings for fan too.

It won't even reach bios unfortunately so cant do that. I have tried 2 gpus and 2 psus so I know That is not the problem

I assume it doesn't post when CPU fan is put into the sys fan header right? Put it back in CPU fan header. does it still not post?

The CPU fan spins when placed in the sys header but it does not post. The gpu fan does spin and the CPU is heating up but no bios or beeps

Ok, put the CPU fan back in CPU fan header, and boot. Download SpeedFan and we can check further. Also, make sure fan is recognised in BIOS.
