Well my computer isn't turning on and the green light on the motherboard is on and also it is all new hardware. Help please!

1. Press down on the motherboard 24 pin and 4/8 pin connectors to make sure they are properly fitted.
2. Press down on the RAM modules to make sure they are fully seated on the sockets.
3. If that doesn't solve it, reset the BIOS removing the AC power, remove the BIOS battery, press the power button and hold for a full minute, wait 5 to 10 minutes to replace the battery, connect AC power and startup the computer.
4. If nothing yet, try a different PSU that's known to be working or a new one.
5. If still nothing, the motherboard would have to be checked with a Motherboard Diagnostics Card

Well now it is turning on but there is nothing on the monitor and also there is a red led on the motherboard now.

• What about BIOS beeps... does it make any?
• Nothing on the monitor, not even the "No signal" or Digital - analog signal search? these monitor messages would indicate the mobo is dead.
• Nothing on the monitor as in all blank, would indicate there is a video signal, just to weak due to possible PSU, motherboard, RAM, CPU, BIOS, or Video issues.

Red mobo led may indicate RAM trouble... if your mobo has MemOK button, press it and hold, and let go when the red led starts flickering. See if it now starts up.

If no MemOK: Remove the modules and reseat them. Only if you're handled the RAM modules: Use a clean cotton cloth... if possible moistened in alcohol and clean the RAM pins, allow evaporation time before reinstalling RAM.

New hardware should not be causing such issues unless you have something fitted incorrectly, so
1. double check all power and data cables
2. check that there is nothing lodged under the motherboard
3. that you used one brass standoff per mobo screwhole
4. that all mobo screws are not losely or over tightened
5. that the CPU fan is connected to the CPU power header, not to the case/system fan header
6. and that you did not use to much thermal grease (that it spilled out of the CPU & heatsink)

Well on the monitor is says no VGA signal and I'm not sure about the others because I got a company to build it for me

No VGA signal would mean there is no video signal getting to the monitor... the first thing to check would be the VGA Video Cable.. I would assume it's a new VGA cable? So, only check that it's securely connected to both ends; computer and monitor.

If that does not help, you would have to reset the BIOS and if necessary do the other checks I suggested before... other than that you would have to take it to a computer repair shop.

To reset the BIOS follow these instructions http://www.wikihow.com/Reset-Your-BIOS

There is still a red light next to the ram though and I can't see any video on the monitor but the computer turns on perfectly

• Nothing on the monitor (all black) would indicate it has video signal, but to weak.. possible causes: Bad PSU, issues with RAM, CPU, motherboard, BIOS, or Video.

• Only a "No VGA" message on the monitor: Would indicate the monitor is not getting a signal, possible causes; No video cable connected, video cable damaged, video card not installed or dead, motherboard or BIOS dead.

• Red mobo led may indicate RAM trouble... remove and reseat the RAM modules, replace RAM modules, check and reseat the Mobo/GPU power connectors (mobo 24 pin & 4/8 pin connectors, and the GPU 6/8 pin connector)

• Computer turning on perfectly means nothing. Dead PSU's can power the fans, leds and drives (up to misleading speeds) but may not supply the volts or amps to power up the motherboard.

Check your hard drive and RAM
A bad memory module can cause screen blackout. Remove the ram, clean it well and fix on another slot
check with another RAM if possible
What mobo you are currently using?
use an HDMI port instead of VGA if you have
Take a picture of your mobo when that red led flashing
and please post it
