Hello, I was recommended these specifications by other members of this forums as well as me putting together some of the parts like the case and cooler etc.
I'd just like to know before I order these parts, is this compatible, will my processor, gtx 980(when it is eventually released, or if i use the 780ti) will it fit on the motherboard? etc and the rams.. all of it basically.
Here it is:

By the looks of the ram, it is rendering/foto editing optimized. For gaming 1600 is enough and also the sweet spot.
But looking at the 4790k, i think you will do intense processing also.
I believe the GPUs will work regardless of the system (ofc, if u get a Pentium II, it wont work
)
I would, however, pay more attention to the cooling solution. If you plan on OCing, I would seriously consider geting atleast Noctua NH-D14 or even D15. Alot of people go straight for the Corair H100i (dual fan radiator), but I hate the 3000 RPM on those fans, eg their noise when they are up to max speed (if I was to go for the H100I, i would change the fans for noctuas, but then the price is geting too high...).
In case of D15 woth the stock fans, you get good cooling vs very low noise, and the only things that can go wrong with it are the fans (which have 6 years warranty btw). On the other side, if H100i goes wrong... you have to change the entire unit (if it`s not one of the fans) - big hassle from where i stand.
If you plan on SLI-ing later, get a higher wattage PSU. 850 Would be the minimum for that.
Good read for that

In this forum you also have the Power Supply tier lists, you can choose/inform yourself from there.

Hello, thanks for posting firstly.
Um I don't really plan on overclocking really because 4.0ghz seems good enough with all the other high spec components which I'll having anyway
Also I won't be doing loads of editing, just now and again like for games i.e. Arma 3, css, gmod etc! so you think I might as well go with the triden or go with vengeance.
also as i dont really plan on getting two graphics cards also because i thought 1 graphics card is all you need really.. for gaming..? so i'd just keep with the 750w, and will the fan i posted above for the CPU be enough as i wont be overclocking.

Agree with what indy17 said about the processor and memory. For gaming i7 is overkill. For gaming the sweet spot would i5-4690k if you are into OCing as well. For gaming go with something like 1866Mhz ram and it should be sufficient.
The GPU you have chosen is perfect in my opinion. And if you need an even better GPU i would suggest going for Asus Z97A board and use the savings for the GPU.
My recommendation on case: Corsair Graphite 760t.

Okay then but a couple of things:
1: I think I might just go with the i7 still because I may change on what I want to do, editing or gaming plus I'll be doing a lot of school work, and I hope this computer will last me a while, so I want to go with i7 still
2: Shall I go with that motherboard, will i be fine?
3: In the previous post I said I won't be overclocking, so will the cpu cooler I said above be fine?
4: That case is quite expensive
isn't there another one I can have, I liked the look of this one which I wanted, will this e good: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Aerocool-X-Predator-Gaming-Case...
5: And I doubt I'll be using SLI because I was told for gaming 1 graphics is really enough...so just the 980 when it is released, um so I was told the 750W PSU would be fine.
Apprecaite if you could answer them for me ^
.Thanks!

Hm okay that seems quite good, but even if I'm not overclocking as people say 4970K is only if you want to overclock really.
But I wanted an i7 so could i just have the 4970 > http://www.amazon.co.uk/Intel-Professional-Processor-Th...
Because I wont be overclocking? because I will be editing as well, or do i just get the K for the extra like less than £20. As it has 4.0GHz. not 3.6.
And I play a lot of Arma 3 and i heard it is CPU intensive
EDIT: Okay I like the look of that second build very much! hmm.

Okay well I think the 2nd build you posted is good because it is the K etc,
obviously I'll be changing the GPU to the 980 though when it comes out.
Isn't there another fan because I'm not a fan of that one..
Also will this RAM work, because I cant find the one you suggested (blue one) on amazon in UK, only this one below)
http://www.amazon.co.uk/G-Skill-Ripjaws-PC3-14900-1866M...
And isnt there any other decent cpu coolers, that one is huge and ugly?

yes, it`ll work. The voltage is 1.5 so it`s right what Haswell needs.
If you intend to go with the 980, i presume you don`t intend to buy the 790 TI atm, cause that would be a big waste of money
.
If you don`t like the D15 (which is air cooled), your next bet would be Corair H100i. Look throu them and pick smth. SOme of them are 2 rads, some are 1 rad. Get the 2 rads, if you`re ok with a lil bit of noise.
If you`re planning on geting the EVO for the K build, you`re most certainly get into the high 70`s-80`s (degrees) during intensive threading, if not shut offs.

Also important: The ram states "Compatible with Intel LGA1155 and AMD Llano/AM3+ platforms"
but the motherboard you suggested and recommended is LGA1150? will it work?
Yeah don't worry I wont be getting the 780.
And I'm not too keen on liquid cooling fans, surely there is another fan other than the hyper 212 evo which will do the job
?How about this one: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Xigmatek-Dark-Knight-Nighthawk-...

Yes it will work. If you have doubts you can refer to the mobo manual for reference on choosing memory. But for a z97 lga1150 board ddr3 1866mhz ram would be just sweet!
Another heatsink that has performance on par with H100i is Noctua D15 as indy17 suggested. But its huge so you may want to go for low profile rams. This heatsink is pretty quite. The only downside to it is it doesn't look as good as the 212 EVO (looks like brown shit) and the huge size.

Hmm okay well some guy has been recommeding these builds:
http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/mBvNsY
Okay well I don't plan on overclocking and ive seen around that the hyper evo 212 will work fine for i7 processors etc..
so i want to go with that really if it'll be okay
and the big brown one will obstruct the ram so.

Here you got the benchmarks for NH D15 vs alot of other air and liquid cooling solutions. http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Noctua/NH-D15/6.html
The difference between the D15 and EVO at full loads is getting considerable (9 degrees when in turbo mode).
Unfortunately, you don`t have a whole lot of choices. If you want good air cooling, you have to go big, else u might get fried. OR you can get the liquid cooling, which you don`t enjoy. You will have to go with one of them in the end
Usually you can disassemble the heat sink of the 1st and 2nd (if i remember correctly) stick of ram, if i can remember correctly. Or just go with the lower profile (the profile that has been here years before the heat sink cooled RAM sticks).
On the D15 you can also move the 1st fan ~18-20 mm higher in order to fit in the ram. Personally I wouldn`t skip on the D15 because of this. This is one of the best (in terms of cooling vs noise - which interests me alot - not so much in terms of value thou) air cooling solutions out there.
My advice would be to not get cheapish on the cooling. Good cooling will allow you to do better OC, will increase the life span of your system (like from 2 to 3-4 or even 5 years) and, not last, it will keep your system more quiet.
Good build otherwise.
