Hello have been an enthusiast reader of this forum for several days in order to OC my phenom and it worked quite well. I made it stable at 4ghz at 1.44v with temps of 54 max full load. The thing is from what I have been reading a CPU at 4ghz doesn't make sense when NB freq is only at 2000mhz. Is this true? If yes to which values should I OC NB and HT link? Should I lower my core clock to 3.8 maybe in order to raise voltage on CPU/NB voltage? My current system is an ASUS m5a97 r2.0, 8 gb ram 1333, XfX 550 bronze and HD 7950. Thank you for the help.

If it's running stable, I'd leave it. I've seen my cpu go to 5.2gHz while leaving the NB voltage stock. It was stable but the mosfets overheated. Hope this helped.
