first boot, fans running mobo lights on but no display

hi just assembled my new pc, this is an i7 4790k msi z97 gaming 5 motherboard 8 gig 1866 ram, 730w psu...when I first put the pc on all the lights and fans came on, even the ones on the motherboard. but did not get a display or any beeping sound. what do I do please help

apparently it has "click bios 4".... it sound like it does turn on cause all the fan and lights on the mobo come on, there is even a 2 digit number system on the motherboard that changes from time to time...just wont get a display
