I have been using 8GB (2x4GB Gskill Ripjaws) at 2133MHz for a while with my AMD FX-8350 and GA-970A-DS3P. I just bought another 8GB of the same model of memory and after installing it, my PC wouldn't POST. My BIOS notified me that there was a failure and recommended I used default settings, which clocks my ram @ 1600MHz. After trying to set it again to 2133MHz, it failed to POST again.
Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks

Most likely the processors memory controller cant handle the heat of four sticks and higher voltage that the 2133 MHz needs

Set the voltage to 1.5 volts and raise the frequency . You might get 1866 MHz

The voltage is currently set to 1.5V, and I get the same result when trying to boot at 1866MHz

Try raising DRAM voltage to 1.6 and CPU/NB voltage to 1.25 (that controls the MC (memory controller) voltage)

Try using only the new kit of RAM and see if the computer will boot with that

Not by my own experience, the AMD FX series can't handle 4 dimms at high speed. That's what a read from others.
