Need help to upgrade my pc

hey there everybody i had my pc for around 2-3 years now and i think its time for a upgrade. so before bf4 came out i of course tried out the beta and my pc could not handle it. my pc could play bf3 like smooth butter i even played the bf hardline beta and it was really smooth but bf4 not so much. and i think the reason why is because its either my cpu or gpu. my cpu is a fx 6100 oc at 4.3ghz and i have a h.i.s 7850 2gb gpu. which part of my pc would i have to upgrade in order to play bf4 and newer pc games? btw my budget would probably be around $200

To get a perceivable and useful upgrade on your GPU you would need to dish out the money to at least get an R9 280X. Which would run around $300 the CPU is not really going to make much of a difference in BF4. Especially considering that yours is OC'd I mean you could get a 6350/6300 and OC that for a small improvement and probably unnoticeable difference at that. The R9 280X would be your best bet but it is also 50% above your budget.

I got a r9 280 for $200 and then overclocked it. Bumped up the core and memory clocks. I think I have core running at 1050Mhz Core and the Memory at 1500Mhz. I do not play a lot of FPS so I do not know how well it would run a game like BF4, but I am happy with the results. I got 3 Games from AMD from it, two of them were 49.99 at the time.
