Does a Disk on Module SSD need a power source?

I have a Via Pico ITX board, one of the 1st generation ones with a 44 pin IDE connection on the side. I found this Disk on Module SSD that should fit nicely on to the board:

16 GB Disk on Module SSD

I was wondering if something like this still needs a power source? Or if I plug it in directly, will it have enough power to work?

Well, in doing a little reading there are 40 pin and 44 pin IDE pinouts. See this page. That part is the 44 pin model which would have power on pin 42. If your motherboard has a 44 pin port then it should work.

So in that case, I can assume that the IDE connection is able to provide enough power for the drive? I'm not too familiar with IDE specs so I don't know if an IDE connection is supposed to be able to provide power for the drive.

The Via Pico ITX boards are very small and compact so I don't have room for a larger PSU nor do I think the board is compatible with traditional PSU's. So I need all my parts to be very compact as well. I'm using this board and the SSD to run a Windows 2000 computer for development purposes. A virtual machine won't cut it for what I need to do with the system. I happen to already have an old Pico ITX board so I thought I'd use that instead of ordering a bunch of old parts online.
