I just bought a new gigabyte r9 290x and I am wondering if I can buy a waterblock from xs-pc for my non reference card. It states on the site that "•Supports AMD R9 290X and 290 cards (AMD reference designs only)" does this mean I am stuck with the windforce cooler or is something technically different with non reference cards? Thanks!

Check out EKWB, they usually make a few for popular non-reference cards.
There are also All-in-one liquid cooler adapters, I think the NZXT GK10 is the name of one of them. Just a bracket and kit, you provide the cooler.
