We all know how CS:GO runs on Source. Source is a VERY optimized engine, but in CS:GO it doesn't seem to be that way. In all of my other source games, I get about 100+ FPS. Even in L4D2 I get 100+, and that games runs on the same version of source as CS:GO does. So why CS:GO? I just want to be able to play this game, but I can hardly get above 40 frames on DUST 2. I also DO NOT have a laptop, but when I did, it seemed that the LAPTOP could run CS:GO better than my desktop can. And my laptop had a processor obviously worse than the one I have now. Hopefully you members of the community can help boost my FPS. I've tried boost .cfg's, and they don't work. I'm thinking CS:GO isn't using enough RAM, as I have 6 gigs and it seems to not utilize all of it, because if it did, it'd run much faster. Here are my specs;
PC: HP Pavilion 500 Desktop
CPU: Intel Core i5-4430 @ 3.00GHz (Quad-Core)
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT 625
RAM: 6.00 GB
SYSTEM TYPE: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
OS: Windows 8.1
If anyone can help me get at least 70+ FPS on this game (on all stock maps, including Cobblestone), that'd be great. All of my settings in-game are turned to the lowest variant or have been set off.
EDIT: My resolution is 1600 by 900, and I do not want to lower it.
