I've bought a replacement Superdrive for my iMac (mid-2007), however I've ordered the wrong type (appears to be for 2008 and later).

I received one with a SATA connector? (1 inch with gap between pins about one third) and my current one is IDE PATA? (1 inch with no gap).

Is there a convertor or cable I can use?
Have I described the connector types correctly?

I've searched eBay and not found anything that appears to match.

Failing this I will return to exchange for the correct type, but wanted to check first.

If you're referring to these:

I know of no such adapter offhand. If there were one, it might interfere with the drive fitting into the imac anyway (it would push the drive further out).

Yes, that's what I'm referring to - thanks!
I'll send back the SATA one and get the correct PATA one.
