Hello,

My budget is 350$
What is the best CPU and mobo?
I'm wanting really big gaming like Battlefied and Crysis.
I have already bought R9 280 3gb and 8Gb of DDR3 2133Mhz.
So what is the CPU and Mobo for my budget?

Thanks

Yep, If you dont plan on recording or videos, Then yeah thats your better option, and so i don't sound so biased towards AMD, Yes the 8350 would be better at the video type stuff but either is just fine, The difference would be barely noticeable and youd only save maybe 10-15 seconds of rendering lol, But yeah its the better option for gaming and its a Z board not an H so better for overclocking.. Good choices.

If budget allows you might want to replace the Pro 4 with Asus Z97-A

Saves you money compared to intel.. Can use towards an SSD or something. Also Battlefield and Crysis i both believe optimize most if not all cores on the 8350. So performance different between an i5 and 8350 wont be noticeable to the naked eye.

On top of that, If you ever wanted to get into video making and rendering, The 8350 will also be better due to more threads and more cores. if you were to get an i7 instead then yeah it would be better but you couldent get an i7 and a motherboard for less than 350$

Which i5? Depending on which one it is, If its the base of the base lowest model Haswell i5 i wouldent say itd be worth it compared to the 8350 due to the slower clock speed and lesser performance compared to the 4690k.. Just my thought. Plus he could still save money and get a decent 970 chipset motherboard such as the Asus i use. Compared to intel motherboards which are still relatively expensive even when getting the lowest models.

those are fine, the 4670k would only be a unnoticeable amount slower than the 4690k. and if you plan on ONLY gaming then yeah its fine, But if you did think about doing anything photoshop or video making type stuff down the line the 8350 would be a bit better.

well i got a q9550 for 50 bucks :v I think that is legit.

Hold on , The H97 isn't ideal for an overclockable CPU at all . It will overclock but its not designed to do so.

Z97 is your best bet , the 4670K is a good cpu still and will work on the z97 with the ability to support the 5th gen broadwell.
