Looking for some advice on problem before sending my laptop for repairs

I plug in my laptop, and the lights on the laptop come on indicating power is bieng supplied. Although when i press the power button it wont power the laptop and the lights turn off. Also after I've done this the lights turn back on...any advice would be appreciated

If the laptop is under warranty, send it for repairs. This is an issue due to a part that needs replaced.

Are you using the original charger?

Try it with and without the battery plugged in on AC power.

Don't open it up if it is under warranty.

If you open your laptop, it will void the warranty.
