Solution
Do you have a multimeter/voltmeter?
It could be the power adapter is bad, could be the battery is bad, could be the motherboard is toast.

If you have a multimeter set it to 20v DC and take a paperclip or other slender metal item and put it inside the barrel plug end of your power supply (the part that you stick in the computer). Take your red lead and touch the wire, take the black lead of the multimeter and touch the outside metal part of the barel connector.
Check the voltage to what the bottom of the power supply says it is supposed to output. If it is more then 1volt less then that (or over) then the power supply is bad.
If not then try removing the battery and then plugging in the power adapter and see if that works.

Also if the power supply is not the OEM original one then it might have killed your laptop. Those $15 "Replacement" power adapters are almost all garbage and I have seen many many laptops destroyed due to them (they can also kill the laptop battery). When it comes to laptop chargers, always get an OEM original adatper. You have to look through the swarm of cheapo "replacement" ones, but you can usually find an OEM one for your laptop on Amazon for $25 or less

Look at both power adapters, if they have the same volts/amps then you are ok, if not then it working in one laptop and not the other does not necessarly mean anything.

If they have the same size/capacity then try swaping batteries. If that does not work then it is likely that the motherboard is dead (unless the laptop has a seperate board with the charging port on it).
