Whenever i play games my computer crashes. My screen freezes and after that my computer reboots itself (sometimes i see a blue screen).

It seems to be a videocard problem because whenever i reduce graphics settings in game the game runs longer without crashing. Could this be a temperature problem? My CPU (AMD Phenom II X4 955) runs at 58C and GPU (ATI Radeon HD 5870) at 74C while gaming. Idle temperatures are CPU 47C and GPU 67C.

Also sometimes i hear a constant beep coming from my motherboard (Gigabyte). Annyone know what could be wrong?

Thanks in advance!

Sounds like a memory issue or power supply issue. Temperature for CPU and GPU seem normal.

Which power supply do you have?
Run memtest and see if it has errors.

It is related to temperature but probably due to the BIOS CPU temp warning setting... this setting is supposed to warn with beeps when the CPU has reached the temp you configure in the BIOS and if no action is taken it will throttle the CPU down and reboot the computer. If the temp is not so hot but you have the temp warning set low, it may beep for a longer period before rebooting.

Look in the Gigabyte motherboard manual for the BIOS temp settings on page 29 for the CPU warning temperature to guide you in your BIOS. If you have it disabled or set at a reasonably high temp, look for a similar GPU temp warning.
