I was just wondering what i should do for storage in my gaming computer. Recently (over the summer) my 1 tb hdd failed, and right now i am using my old laptops hdd (320 gb) and i dont have any space on it!!! i was wondering if it would be best to get 1 ssd and 1 hdd or invest in a sshd. Ive heard that these sshd are really good if you want it to be fast and have lots of storage. my budget is $100-$120 and any help is very well appreciated. This is actually my first post so if you guys think im doing this post wrong or maybe there was another post like this that answers it please tell me! Also please refrain from replying with websites that are comparing sshd with ssd and hdd ive probably already read them all (lol).

Thanks- Alex

The ideal would be to have an SSD, and a separate mechanical HD, but on a budget around $100 this is not enough for 2 drives.

I would go with a WD Black which is their performance series. The 1 TB is about $80, and the 2 TB is $140 (which is overbudget but a ton of space if you can swing it).

I am not a big fan of SSD/HD hybrid drives, and think there is not enough benefit.

Well i was thinking that if i got an ssd and a HD i could put games and OS on ssd and everything else on HD. theres a sale on a website (i forget which one) but its $55 for corsair force series 128 gb ssd and theres another one on another website (i forget which one) %$8 1 tb hitachi ultrastar. is that good? also,i love pcpartpicker and that looks like a nice build. im actually having a problem with my computer though, it just recently started freezing up and nothing will fix it exept a resart using restart switch. heres my specs: http://pcpartpicker.com/b/yNGfrH

any help would be great.

thanks- alex

I would do this...
Get a SSD 128GB about $80.00+ tax & shipping
Move the OS and App over to SSD, it will free some space in your 360GB, This gives you some time
Save $$ get a 1 or 2TB later then you're set, ba the time you buy extra HDD, it may cost $70.00 for 3TB
