Hello, guys!

I'm not a heavy gamer, but I want to be able to play some upcoming PC titles like Fifa 15 and GTA V. I decided to buy Radeon 260x, but I noticed different clock speeds among the brands.
For instance, the Sapphire (model 11222-17-20G) has 1000Mhz of core clock, while the Gigabyte (model GV-R726XWF2-2GD) has 1188Mhz (1100Mhz Std).
Why is that? Is the second one more effective than the first? Or are they identical but just set with different clocks by convenience (meaning I can make a slight overclock on the Sapphire and get the same clocks with the same voltages and power consumption)?

PS: I'm asking this because the Sapphire is $20 cheaper in my country.

Thanks!

what ever saves you money they are both good brand and will give you almost identical performance 188 mhz clock speed will give you about 1-2 fps more but you can OC both the cards and increase their MHZ .

I personally use the gigabyte model. While I can't comment on the small differences in clocks, I can comfortably say that the Gigabyte model is very effective at 1080p gaming, is quiet, and has not given me any hardware or software issues over the last 6 months.

Well both are good brands but i dont think 20$ more for just a bit more clock speed is worth.

Definitely go with the sapphire if its that much cheaper. The difference in performance won't be noticeable.

saphire is generally the best card but in this case maybe go for the higher clocked model, saphire however usually has great overclocking using tricks and will hit 1188Mhz no problem.
