Hi so currently I have a msi 970a g43 mobo with a fx 8320 cpu and this mobo is absolutely horrible would it be safe to buy a refurbished mobo from new egg? ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0 AM3+ AMD 990FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard with UEFI BIOS
I'm going to oc and play heavy fps games like bf4 and arma3 would you guys recommend doing this or any other boards within that price range thanks all help is appreciated

I would honestly say no... you save a whopping $30 and only get a 90 day warranty with it. With the new one you get a 3 year warranty.

So you would would be paying $30 for an extra 3 year coverage.

If it was me I would spend the extra $30 for 2 reasons.... You get a new product and you get a long warranty.

I have had good success with refurbished and open box products from Newegg.

But since it is refurbished what is their definition of refurbished and I know asus has a pretty good rep for their quality builds so I'm not too worried on warranty unless it covers the damages it may cause to other component if god forbid I did get a faulty one. So if they cover that for 3 years then I'll wait to save for it
