I'm considering buying a PC and then upgrading the graphics card. The PC currently has an NVIDIA GeForce GT 610 1GB and I want to upgrade to an AMD Radeon R9 270x 2gb. The 610 has PCI-E 2.0 while the 270x has PCI-E 3.0. Would the 270x work in this computer? The motherboard is an AMD 760g - that's all it says but I haven't been able to find anything on it. Thanks!

More about : pci compatible

The motherboard's AMD 760g chipset is limited to PCI Express 2.0. The R9 270X PCIe 3.0 graphics card is fully backward compatible with PCIe 2.0 so it'll work.

Make sure your power supply should has a maximum combined +12 Volt continuous current rating of 30 Amps or greater and has at least two 75 Watt 6-pin PCI Express supplementary power connectors.

Awesome thank you very much! The power supply on the listing simply says 500W. Should I probably contact the seller to make sure it meets those requirements?

What's the brand and model of the power supply unit?

No idea. I'm working on contacting the manufacturer - hopefully I can get some more info from them. They did a really poor job on parts of the listing. Simply saying 500W to describe the PSU. No brand or anything.
