I would like to build a low cost HTPC to watch movies on my tv I don't need tv channels. I have read many threads here but am confused by all the suggestions. What I want to do is rip all my movies and put them on the hard drive. I would like :if possible:
Best picture quality possible (HD, 1080P)
low power consumption
Wifi ready
HDMI out
Remote control capability
maybe some light gaming
fast start up
small case as possible
I have looked at the SILVERSTONE Black Aluminum Grandia Series SST-GD05B-USB3.0 Micro ATX Media ...for the case but am unsure about the motherboard. Can I get by with an integrated video card?
I was thinking about 2 hard drives one a ssd for a faster startup
Any suggestions really would be appreciated
My budget is around $500 thank you
