So my computer hat been freezing randomly lately and have re-installed OS(Win7) still froze and now just installed a new ram stick still froze! I was wondering if my problem could be my mother board? If it is my MOBO and I get a new one does this mean I have to buy a new windows 7 product key again? If there are any other hardware that can cause this please tell me!
Is motherboard the problem?

Could be a lot of things, DRAM comes to mind, you said you just installed a new stick, is it the only one? Have you tried booting into safe mode?
