Antec 902 vs. CoolerMaster 690 II Advanced for cooling.

What I was thinking of doing is swapping my gaming PC into the CoolerMaster case. The reason I have been thinking of doing this is that the 902 case's fans are loud and to be honest getting annoying. I already own both of these cases so purchasing is not necessary and Both cases have all optional fans installed.

The reason I am looking for advice is because I have a XFX HD 7970 and it needs plenty of cool air to keep from throttling especially with it OCed. Because it takes quite a while to swap 2 PC's around I don't want to do it just to find out the cooling is not sufficient. The main reason it takes me so long is I do very clean wiring and that takes time.

The CoolerMaster 690 II Advanced case has 1 front, 1 bottom, 2 side and 2 top 140 mm fans. 1 rear and 1 bottom 120 mm fans. All intake fans are filtered. All fans are 17 db or under.

The Antec 902 has 3 front, 1 rear, 120 mm fans, 1 80 mm side fan and 1 200 mm fan. All intake fans are filtered. Loudest fan is 36 db.

Any thoughts and opinions are welcome on this subject. Thank you for your time.

Just an update. I did swap over to the CM 690 II Advanced and this is what I have found for a cooling difference. All temps were taken with an ambient temp of 72°F/22°C.

The lower third of the case is about 4-5°c warmer at idle, the middle third of the case is about 3-5°c warmer at idle, the CPU and VRM are 2° warmer than the Antec 902 case.

Gaming using Crysis 3 as a marker for both before and after case swap the temps are higher. The CPU is 2°c warmer, the GPU is 1°c Cooler, the lower third of the case is 3°c warmer, the middle of the case (USB3.0-2 right under the ram) is 20°c warmer (no this is not a typo) the NB is 13°c warmer, the top of the case sees a 3°c warm up at the VRM.

Under full load the CPU sees a small jump in temps to the tune of 2°c and the GPU sees a jump of 7° jump in temp. It is rare for me to push the system to full load long enough to see this kind of jump in temps. So all in all here is what I found. The cooler master case is not as good at cooling as the Antec But with just a small bump in temps it does cool sufficiently for my needs and does it with at least a 17db drop in noise. The other bonus is I now have more options for water cooling.
