I am in the process of doing my first overclock on a 4690k, and was hoping to get some feedback on whether or not my overclocking procedure is correct.

The first thing I did was to set my VRIN (CPU input voltage, right?) to 1.9v, my CPU vcore to 1.25v, my multiplier to 45, my memory to its 1600 Mhz XMP, and I also disabled Turbo Boost to get a constant OC. This gave me a BSOD into ~30 minutes of prime95. So, I bumped the multiplier down to 43, changing nothing else, and it's passed about an hour of prime95 so far.

Anything that I'm clearly doing wrong? Anything I could be doing differently?

My temps during prime95 have been 55-60C mostly, but during a few of prime95's tests, my temps spiked at 81/82/81/77. Is that normal?

And finally a somewhat related question: I'm using a Cooler Master 280L liquid cooler, and my current set up has the radiator on the top of my case with fans mounted below it, pulling air in. This is doing good things for my CPU temps, but I feel that my GPU temps are a lot higher than they should be as a result. Would my CPU temps likely take a significant hit if I made the radiator fans exhaust air from inside my case instead?
