I want to build a PC that can run WoW: WoD on high settings. My budget is up to 800$, but is that much money even necessary to have a computer that will be only used for this game (along with web surfing)? I don't have any intentions of playing other games.

So please, help me build a PC. I have an idea, thanks to the community, of a specific set-up but im not sure if this is overkill. If you have any opinions or changes for my current setup, please criticize:

CPU: Intel Core i5-4460 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor ($179.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: ASRock H97 PRO4 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($88.98 @ SuperBiiz)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($72.00 @ Newegg)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($53.99 @ Amazon)
Video Card: Sapphire Radeon R9 270X 2GB Dual-X Video Card ($188.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Case: Corsair SPEC-02 ATX Mid Tower Case ($59.99 @ Amazon)
Power Supply: EVGA 600B 600W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($49.99 @ NCIX US)
Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24F1ST DVD/CD Writer ($14.99 @ Newegg)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (OEM) (64-bit) ($86.99 @ NCIX US)
Total: $795.91

Any help would be awesome, since I'm a hardware noob and not sure what brands/specs to choose. Thanks

If your goal is just WoW and browsing, it's not necessary to spend that much. The build you have is already pretty much the best for the price, but it's still overkill for your stated purposes.

You could switch to an R9 270 non-X, 500w PSU, and an i3-4150 without an appreciable performance decrease, to cut costs.

The parts themselves are branded well.
ASrock makes some of the best motherboards, GSkill makes some of the best memory, Sapphire is considered the default/official AMD graphics card distributor, EVGA makes good power supplies relative to their price, etc.

I'll sell you my backup rig for that much if you want to run WoW.
Specs follow:
Core 2 Duo e6400 or something like that, I don't know, it's a Core 2
8GB DDR2 memory
Some old HP mobo because it's an old HP turned into a gaming rig
80GB HDD and 500GB HDD included
500W Thermaltake PSU
AMD Radeon HD6770 GPU

You'll be all set, bro.
