Right Angle 24 pin ATX power connector safety?

well.. i know it is not that simple to solder/desolder a board. maybe you should try it out on an old broken board. see how it goes.

wanting it to look as nice as possible might actually ruin the board if not done right. good luck though, personally i would not do it nor do i have the skills and guts to do it.
the most i would do is bend the cables :)

It is kind of inconvenient to have it straight up when I plan on making the build look as nice as possible, having it at a right angle would help that.

I agree, I probably have a few boards I can lab rat-ify but bending the cables only looks so nice and can detract fro the look of the machine overall if it is the only non right angle connector.
