i got a new motherboard a few weeks ago (gigabyte z97x-soc) and I've had this strange issue when ever i overclock the CPU (I5 4690k) even a little. when i go online to say watch YouTube, read the news, or go on steam, it dies at random with no warning. and by die i mean it's like i hit the switch at the back. now this is where i find it most odd. it runs fine on a game. i could play assassins creed black flag at max for hours without issue. so I've been kinda loosing my mind trying to figure this out. can anyone offer any suggestions please?

windows 8.1
gigabyte z97x-soc
WD balck 1TB (contains windows)
GTX 760 4 GIG
GTX 460 1 GIG (dedicated physx. issue existed before installed)
Coolermaster Vanguard 80+ Gold Full-Modular 1000
Coolermaster Nepton 280L

hmm that cant be it though. when gaming the cpu would be working harder then it would be watching a youtube video. i usually get the clock up to 4.5 at 1.250v and when i game its stable. no cpu related problems. but when im using Google, steam, watching a video from a USB stick, it dies. not all the time, but it happens at least once a day.
