Let's name this computer as FAULTY and its HDD as Original.

FAULTY was good and working before, until it freezes.

It's RAM, PSU, and GPU Card are fine and brand new.

Tried changing HDD. Original is fine and working with other computers. Any other HDD with Windows XP OS when moved to FAULTY freezes at black screen before loading screen.

Tried reinstalling. Windows XP setup freezes at 'Setup is starting Windows' when used at FAULTY. However, Windows XP setup disk is fine with any other computers.

Suspected mobo or processor fault.

Tried installing Windows 7 into Original with FAULTY. Succeeded both at completing setup and loading Windows 7 OS.

But I need XP for some reason. So why is XP and only XP not working at FAULTY?

For computer rental services, customers prefer Windows XP.
1. Easier and Familiar interface
2. Simplicity
3. Hardware and Software Compatibility
4. Etc

I need fix. Not alternatives like 'switch to other OS then'

FAULTY was working. It has Windows XP for almost 3 to 4 years, until a random freeze happened. Then upon restarting, it doesn't load OS anymore, freezing at Safe Mode either.

Just when I thought some system files were corrupted (although I have DeepFreeze installed) because XP does not load/freeze before the XP loading screen, I tried reinstalling XP.

And when I thought Original was faulty when XP setup freezes on 'Setup is starting Windows', I tried replacing HDD. Also burning a new XP ISO but no luck.

But Windows 7 works fine. Except I don't need it yet until I can find better software resources to run it.

Can't see full specs atm but:
4GB RAM (2x 2GB dual channel)
500GB HDD
2GB VRAM

Can't recall mobo and processor specs.

what kind of install did you do?im thinking you will need to format the disk and do a fresh install.if you have any important data put the hdd into another machine to backup your files then do a clean install of xp.

Won't do, or can't do. Setup can't go even before partition setup. Tried using a brand new HDD and it didn't solve the problem.
