Awful fps drop over night.... or is it?

Here are my specs :
700w power supply,
16 gigs of ram 1600,
wd 1tb hd,
4670k processer,
cool master hyper 212 evo,
sadly for the video card I haven't gotten my 760 or R9 280 haven't decided yet.

Soooo the game I play the most is Lol for sure and it seems overnight I have suddenly gotten a huge drop in fps.. Normally I feel like I have around 150+ On very high all settings except for shadows and now I get like 70 and when minions spawn and I attack them it goes down to 40 or lower..... I didnt do anything crazy to my comp. It was working totally fine then I brought it to my friends house to game on and when I hooked it up over at his house is when I stared having issues. HOWEVER I did use his monitor to game on. I don't remember what kind, maybe a samsung. Would that have anything to do with this? I wouldn't think so but thats when it started. I have searched the internet the most common solution is to make sure your heat sink is properly installed and that their is no dust in your comp. Today I switched cases and ended up taking every single piece apart and putting it in the new one and I specifically made sure the heat sink was all nice and clean and screwed in right. I also have been checking my temp while playing Lol and it isn't at anything crazy maybe 35 degrees C.... That didn't seem to help..

I updated all my drivers..... Any help would be nice. Thanks!

Out of interest what graphics card are you on now then? Also, have you used a gpu monitor to check the usage when you are playing and get the drops? Is it running flat out during these times?
Also, check the CPU usage when you are playing and see if there is any correlation when you get the FPS drops. Let us know the results after a good go on SR

if its not a heating problem then its definitely a poor server or ping problem at night .

The OP has said he has and FPS drop not ping issues. Ping is internet/ server issues and heat does not effect this.

Just to check though... OP you do mean FPS and not ping right?

Oh silly me I forgot to say what I was using haha, just the intel integrated graphics 4600. And no I haven't used a GPU monitor while playing I'm downloading one currently. And my CPU usage doesn't seem to skyrocket when I'm lagging but I'll check again.

In that case im not so sure that you are/ were getting an accurate reading for your FPS since that is not a dedicated graphics card. After having a quick look, most people seem to get about an average of about 50fps at low/ med settings on a 1080p screen.

Another thing would be nice to know is what resolution you are running it at.... i am starting to get the feeling fact that its a difference in resolution that was triggered by you changing monitor....

I'm playing on 1400x900 which is recommended for my monitor. And what I used to play on. Btw I have always gotten above 150+fps during lol... Maybe not in a 5v5 team fight but for the most part... and I doubt i'm reading fps wrong because in Lol they have a convenient little fps display always on when you play..

Okay then i will have to leave this to someone else to sort, but im pretty sure that your in-game settings would have had it at a lower resolution previous to you changing monitor. And im also fairly certain that an integrated graphics card will not run on very high settings with that resolution at over 150 FPS.

Shadows seem to make a large difference on integrated cards, maybe lower the setting on that to make it more playable again for you if it isnt already.

Check your CPU temperature.

But what you really need to do is go ahead and buy a dedicated GPU. You will find it much better than the Intel graphics

Don't get me wrong I know I need to, but the reason I haven't is because the main game I play is league and I've always been able to run at max settings no problem in tell all this happened..... and if you read above you can see I already have any nothing too odd about me cpu temp while playing

i know what the OP had said FPS matters with low internet speed. if the internet speed gets low at night then he will get less ping and there will be drop in fps.

No, both FPS drops and ping can cause lag, but they are not the same thing.
Ping is the amount of time it takes for any signal/data exchange between you and the servers.
FPS is the number of different images (frames) your system is able to show per second (FPS means Frames Per Second). The human eye tends to accept video games looking fairly smooth over 30 frames per second (though this is widely debated and there are a few other factors too).
They are independent but can be confused.
