Hello!

Im gonna need to change harddrive for one of my mothers friends laptops where the harddrive is bad, it still works but has bad sectors and has status bad.

So what i know all 2,5" ssd's should work in a laptop right?

But what is the different between the samsung 250gb 840 evo and the same but it says laptop kit after? and it is 20€ more expensive? what does it include that does not come with a normal ssd?

So should i just get the samsung 250gb 840 evo ssd?

Solution
Difference is that with more expensive one you also get sata to usb cable so you can make copy of your current HDD before installation.

The Samsung 840 series is one of the best values in solid state drives right now: the drives are super-fast in most of the ways that matter, and they’re priced aggressively. Plus, Samsung has a reputation for reliability that a lot of other vendors lack. The 840 isn’t the fastest SSD out there, and it’s not for everyone–it may not even fit in your computer (but it probably will). But I think it’s one of the best options for most people who are upgrading a laptop or desktop, and I’ll talk about alternatives further down the line.
