hi, so basically my pc has been unable to display a signal on my monitors. my computer will start normally and all the lights and fans spin etc but nothing with display on my monitors... this has happened in the past but quickly fixed itself for some reason.
currently it has happened for the past 2 days and i only manage to get it to work 1/100 attempts of turning my pc on and off.
i have tried opening my pc up and making sure everything is connected properly which doesnt seem to help.. today i tried replacing the ram with my brothers ram from his pc and it was able to display a signal on the first attempt.
i guess my question is whether or not this was another fluke or if your ram can actually have this affect on my pc not displaying a signal?
not sure if this is the correct place for this so im sorry if it isnt, this is the first time ive posted here

Hello... 1) Try plugging into a different output connector of your video card. 2) Set yor monitor for the input connector being used to it. 3) try connecting to the MB video connector ( if you have a CPU/MB GPU ).
I have had problem s in the Past with monitors failing, try your monitor on another computer system.

List your hardware for us to help you further.

hey thanks for the answer. i think replacing the ram with my brothers seems to have fixed it for now its just i want confirmation if the ram can actually cause that problem? i have a dual monitor setup and both monitors didnt work before i replaced the ram so i guess plugging into a different output doesnt work. i also dont have onboard graphics that im aware of? so i guess i cant try that and also my monitors both work on other pcs and one of them is fairly new so i doubt it would be that.
my pc is working perfectly currently but if i plug back in my old ram then im 90% sure it wont turn on properly again.

my specs are
amd fx 6300 six core 3.5ghz
radeon hd 7870
64bit win 7
asus m5a78L-M LX V2 motherboard
8gb ram (not sure what model sorry)

hey, im now on my laptop because my pc wont display signal again so i guess using m brothers ram didnt solve anything and it was just a fluke, is there any other solution other than cleaning/replacing the ram? it just doesnt make sense how if i randomly fluke it to work 1/100 tries or whatever then it will work perfectly fine until i restart my pc and then it wont work again for another 1/100 tries....
