Hey Guys,

I'm unable to connect to my router when I go to the default gateway page (10.0.0.138), I mean I get the login page, with the Username "Admin" already written, so I tried "Admin" as the password, but that didn't work... I might have changed the password a few years ago, but I don't remember it... How can I reset the password if that's the case? Or maybe the default login info isn't "Admin/Admin"?

My router is a D-Link DSL6740U-G2.

Regards,

Did you have access before? You could try resetting the router to factory settings
Usually theres a reset button on the back, hold it down for a few seconds, or consult the manual for proper reset procedure

I've had the router for about 3 years already... I remember changing the wifi password at one point, so I must have had access, and back then, I changed the router's password too if I'm not wrong... I had to go abroad for one year, and when I came back the wifi password was changed, which means someone in my household had access to the router... could be the ISP guys...

So basically, if I do a hard reset, will that reset the password of the router too?

Reset the router via button one the back. This will reset the password to default, the password of that router should be underneath the router

Yes it will reset the routers password to the default. You have to hold down the reset button for 30 seconds or until the power light flashes or something(again the manual will specify) and then just login with your default password, which in this case will be 'admin'
