I am fairly new to Windows 7. I grew up on Windows 98/2000/XP. Windows 7 is really different when it comes to the smaller features. On every computer I have owned, The sleep button on the keyboard would bring up the 3 options to either hibernate, shut down or restart.

Is it possible to make Windows 7 do this?

Thanks for any replies

Click start. Next to the search box should be an option to either switch user, shutdown,... click the arrow on the right side of the button to get the other options.

though luck in win 7 that's the only option. maybe it's a driver for your keyboard that has the 3 option you talking about.

Press Alt+F4 while looking at the desktop, this will bring up a menu which will allow you turn off, hibernate, sleep, etc.
