I have a linksys WRT54G router connected to a beetel 110TC2 modem. I want to get a static ip address for port forwarding. Can anybody tell me how to get a static ip and how to do port forwarding?

i have tried to set static address from the link you posted but it is not working, my ip is still dynamic. I guess the problem is that I have my router connected to a modem, so it is not working.The link u send gives information about setting ip address on a single router.I m facing another problem too: when I look for my DNS server in command prompt it shows two DNS servers : 218.248.255.212 and 218.248.255.139 where as my router shows only one DNS server : 192.168.0.1 where my shows different DNS servers : 218.248.255.211 and 218.248.255.210. What to do?
I misinterpreted your hardware. I thought that your Beetel was JUST a modem. Now that I have looked it up, I see that it is a router + modem. Now that I understand that, are you trying to create a static IP on the WAN port of the WRT54G, the Beetel device, or some other host?
Is your WRT setup to be a wireless access point or is it setup as a router?
I don't understand what actually are you trying t say. I am new to this and i've never done this before. Can you explain it in a simpler way?Actually I want to create a static internet ip so that i can portforward. Most probably I have a router not an access point.Can u help me using windows remote assistance. I am running windows 8.1

WHAT is it you are trying to do? You said you want to port forward. What application, and where is it running?
WHY do you have the WRT54G connected? Are you using it JUST for wireless access or do you have wired computers hooked to it?
HOW is the device you want to port-forward connected? Wireless? Wired to the Beetel? Wired to the WRT?
