i5 3470S runing at 80c with prime 95

hey guys im a little worried about my cpu while playing crysis 3 for 20 mins my cpu (i5 3470S) is running at 70 degrees c and im playing on ultra and then when i did a prime 95 torture test for 20mins my cpu all cores at 100% was running at 80c is this normal for the i5 or what i dont have enough money for a cpu coller at the moment so im using the refrance intel cooler thanx in advance.

For Intel cpu, under 80C for sustained is preferred. it does have higher thermal threshold but generally keeping it under 80C will be fine. One degree over isn't too bad.

thanx for the reply but it gets to exactly 80c sometimes 81c and all other threads say anything over 60c is bad so whats your experiance?

Thanx man I'm gonna get a deep cool gammaxx 400 cpu cooler soon so thanx for that.
