Solution
bugcheck 124 = WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR

means the actual CPU got a error and told windows to shutdown.

most often a overclocking problem (incorrect voltage/clock to the CPU) or overheating.

to fix most often you update the BIOS to get corrected clock and voltage settings applied to your CPU.
check the CPU fan, reduce any overclock, and remove any overclocking software.

on older systems, blow the dust out of the fans, and check the power supply and for overheating of the CPU

you should also update windows 7 to the service pack and all of the updates. Then install the CPU chipset drivers for your CPU (google intel chipset drivers to get the current ones)
These drivers will have patches for bugs in your CPU even if you don't...

These drivers will have patches for bugs in your CPU even if you don't update your BIOS at least it will load the drivers and attempt to fix your system when running windows. I think the default patch for the old windows 7 was for CPUs before 2009. (pretty old)
