Anyone have any thoughts of upgrading FROM Nvidia Geforce GT635(dell 8700 i7 4770 stock card)to a EVGA 02G-P3-3733-KR GeForce GT 730 2GB 64-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 Low Profile card $79.99?Am I gaining anything,I'm not a gamer,I just think my video should look better(ASUS VS247 24" 2ms)460w PS 32g Ram win 8.1 64bit

Solution

Could be a combination of both, but its normal for the most part, it's just how the video loads.

In my opinion, you wouldn't be gaining anything worth that cost and your current video card should be providing you with a crystal clear image. Verify that you're running with the latest drivers and at your monitor's native resolution.

Agree. The only real reason to upgrade a video card is either its just too old to support some of the newest features and direct x versions (your card is not too old in this aspect, its just fine) or you need more gaming performance. Which you said you do not play games. If your image is not clear and sharp, with good detail, it's more likely your monitor, or the settings you are running it at. As mentioned, make sure you have the most up to date drivers install, and you are running your monitor at it's native resolution.

my drivers are the latest nvidia beta drivers and my video IE: iTunes Movie trailers are awesome.its video like for instance ESPN highlight,it will start almost out of focus then all of a sudden it snaps into a sharp great video,I thought maybe it was the card

That's not the video card, it's just interent video buffering till it loads the full resolution.
